Today I want to share this song that has so meant so much to me recently!

We headed outside early this morning to beat the heat!

I love these little fairy houses and figurines. It's fun to see the kids using their imaginations to play with these. Each time I go to Dollar Tree I try to get a few more pieces to add to the collection.

We have little tomatoes in our garden. I can hardly wait to start getting fresh tomatoes to eat.

Today we focused on the alphabet. We played a couple rounds of Alphabet Bingo.

And we read books and watched videos about the alphabet and the sounds the letters make.

I didn't plan this, but today's Bible story kind of went along with the song on my mind today.

In this podcast, host Heather Bernt-Sandy and Carol Garboden Murray discuss the importance of play in early childhood and how the push for academics in preschool classrooms has been harmful to both children and teachers.
"They caught all the wild children and put them in zoos.
They made them do sums and wear sensible shoes.
They put them to bed at the wrong time of day
And made them sit still when they wanted to play."
~ Jeanne Willis - Wild Child
In this episode, the implications of this poem were discussed.
When God Feels Silent in the Hard Seasons Two quotes from this video stood out to me - "Silence is not the same as absence" and "Delay is not denial."
I found this video interesting with lots of food for thought.
