I was listening to the Gospel of John the other day and John 1:48 caught my attention.
Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
John 1:48
Sometimes I don’t like how God tells me to live or what He’s asking of me. And I want to say “Can anything good come of this?”
And that great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), of which I’m sure Phillip is one, say “Come and see.”
Having said that, come and see how our day went.

Sunrise - There's a new and different one every morning.

This morning we mixed up a batch of Sourdough Peanut Butter cookies to eat for snack this afternoon.

One of our science cards this week is about the sense of taste, so we watched some videos about the sense of taste and read about our senses.

Since we had a lot of ingredients out to make cookies, we did some taste testing. These plates had small amounts of white sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, and peanut butter on them. I see someone was sneaking a sample while I was taking the picture.

Snack time - enjoying our cookies. I somehow missed one child when I took pictures.
And now here's a peek into the rest of our day. It was a busy one and we spent a lot of it outside.

Our Bible story today

And other books and videos we watched today.

Yesterday at church a dear friend gave me this kitchen towel. I love what it says and it reminds me of one of my favorite quotes when I was growing up - "Bloom where you are planted." I love seeing it in my kitchen.

I was outside with the kids this afternoon, making a plan for tomorrow, and Michael brought me this aluminum foil turtle he had made. So I set it on my page to supervise.
And that's a wrap for today. So many blessings, happy little moments, learning, laughing, loving and just living life.
