On My Mind
I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:20-23, NLT)
I was thinking about the date this morning, remembering the losses that occurred on this day 23 years ago in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. It is a time that we will never forget, nor should we. However, it is important to hold onto hope and the knowledge that there is still love, mercy, and faithfulness in this world. And let it begin with each of us as we extend God's love to the world around us.
If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate. ~ Sandy Dahl, Wife of United Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl
