Let the one who is wise heed these things, and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord ~ Psalm 107:43
Our thoughts significantly influence how we live our lives. If you let it, your mind can be your downfall. But the Bible says we have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). It also says He does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), and He keeps us in perfect peace if our minds are fixed on him (Isaiah 26:3). While it can be tempting to dwell on life's negatives, we are provided with a far better way to live and the resources to thrive in it.
One way to access those resources and thrive is through a strong Bible-believing church, where truth is taught and love and support are found among the people. I was blessed today to attend two services and was so strengthened and encouraged by them.

My morning started out peacefully and quietly with the company of Scout.

Sunrise!!

I got to take an early morning walk.

Before I left for church, I put broccoli cheddar soup in the slow cooker. I also made a fresh batch of cucumber lemon mint water for the day.

During my work, walks, and drives, I spent a lot of time listening. Here is some of what I heard. When life becomes hectic, it's easy to become absorbed in daily routines and overlook the big, wide world beyond. I can't experience everything firsthand, but I can learn from the experiences of others, which helps expand my understanding. This, in turn, offers fresh insights into my own daily life.

Scout is the best Sunday afternoon napping companion!
