Today's word for Five Minute Friday is Scene.
Sometimes life looks bleak, and it seems like there is no chance for change. In times like these, it is easy for depression and hopelessness to set in. Why try when there's no hope? Why look for beauty when all is gray and dull?
But then hope arrives on the scene. Hope in the form of an encouraging word, an unexpected blessing, a breakthrough of light in the darkness, a little color in the dull grayness that surrounds you. These are what I call "But God . . . " moments. And in my 50 years, there have been many of them. Experience teaches me that I can rely on God to come through, and when He does the scene changes immediately.
