On My Mind
There are numerous places in the Bible when what seemed like a bad situation was actually for the good.
When Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery it seemed like the end of Joseph's good life. In fact, it was only the beginning of an amazing life that played a pivotal role in world history.
When Ruth lost her husband and found herself traveling to a new land where she had nothing and knew no one. But then she found herself married to a wealthy landowner, had a son, and became one of only five women mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus.
When Jesus put mud on the blind man's eyes, what should have irritated them was instead an agent in their healing.
When Jesus was crucified and put in the grave it looked like His ministry had ended. Instead, His very death and subsequent resurrection, provides us with a promise of eternal life through Him.
What looks like evil to us, may be the very thing working for our good.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ~ Romans 8:28
Happy Birthday
It's hard to believe but today is Michael's 18th birthday! Eighteen years with this boy have been quite an adventure. We had cake today and will do some fun birthday things on Saturday.
Kids
Today has been a pretty typical day with the kids.
We colored pictures . . . .
. . . . and read stories.
It was a beautiful, mild day and we had so much fun outside.
In the Kitchen
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans - it's what we had for dinner this evening.

Goals
I actually made it out of bed at 5:30 this morning. And I did my morning exercise routine, but when I tried to walk this evening there was so much going on at the school where I usually walk that I came back home, so it was only a ten-minute walk. However, I did get my goal of 3 1/2 hours of online work accomplished so overall I'm pretty pleased with the day.
