I've been so back and forth with this blog - how I want to use it and what I want to post here. And it seems I always come back to this - I want to use it to celebrate every single day God gives me. There is so much to be grateful for, so much of life to enjoy! Even if it seems some things that make one day good are the same as the day before they are cause for celebration - good coffee is as delightful on Tuesday as Monday, and the sound of a child's laughter is as beautiful on Friday as it was on Thursday. And Lamentations 3:22-23 says
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
Hs mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
And I don't write all this because it's always easy. There will always be struggles, there will always be hard times. This is true for everyone. In my house we deal daily with following alphabet soup of issues - OCD, ADHD, PTSD, FASD, TBI, CP, and possible FMS. There would probably be more if we went looking. And I can focus on these or I can focus on the ONE Who has overcome all these things and live in freedom and joy.
So - I say all that to say this ....... I'm back to trying daily posts here. I may not manage a post every day, but I'll be here frequently - celebrating the day, celebrating the blessings, and celebrating Hs mercies that are true every morning.
And one more thing - These lyrics from the song Greater by MercyMe have been running through my head on repeat lately.
"I am learning to run freely
Understanding just how He sees me,
And it makes me love Him more and more."
Here are a few things I've enjoyed this weekend.

Early morning quiet time with the Bible, my journal, and some peaceful jazz music with a pretty background.

There's an app called Kafka that offers free audiobooks. Some are summaries and some are complete books. These are great to listen to while working around the house or when I'm walking. The first two I just listened to the summaries and I'm slowly working through the entire book by Melody Beattie. It's an excellent book.

Michael treated me to lunch at DAP's on Saturday. He just started working there and is enjoying it. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Salad and it was huge and delicious!

I like to walk the track on the weekends and no matter how often I walk it I never get tired of this view of the mountains and sky. Every time is a little different and every time it is beautiful!

Dinner one evening - sloppy joe sandwiches with lots of coleslaw, broccoli and cheese, and tater tots.

The garden space is looking nice. I’m looking forward to planting some early things this week.

Church- it feeds my soul.
Here is the full version of the song I mentioned earlier.
